APW - Illinois, "23 Diamond, Ruby & Sapphire Jewels," Grade 710, 16S, GF OF original SB&B case, SW-LS, WE-DSD, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel, diamond endstone, 23J, GJS, adjusted 6 positions, wide transverse band pattern NI damascene, s#2474821. Rare top grade Illinois watch with a total production of 210 made, this example being the 21st watch of the second of two production runs.
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, near mint mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, very little oxide powder on whiplash; dial with some hls; hands fine, quite oxidized, may have had celluloid crystal at one point; case shows medium wear, brass band, edges and patches, many MFS, light dents forming compression in back center, no dings, remaining detail quite reduced; bow tight, worn to brass, brass crown core shows light wear; good glass crystal.
